OSB Panel
The OSB (Oriented Strand Board) is a wood-based panel made up of several layers, in turn made up of mainly long and narrow wood chips (strands) assembled with a binder (glue). The strands of the outer layers are parallel to the longitudinal or transverse side of the panel. A length / width ratio of 10: 1 strands helps to improve the bending strength properties in the direction of the orientation of the outer layers. The strands of the inner layer can be oriented randomly or, as a rule, in a direction perpendicular to the strands of the outer layers.
Characteristic of the OSB panel is the Class 3 gluing suitable for use in humid environments.
